So this is the last video in our 4-part summer fitness series and I have to say, I have really enjoyed getting back on camera and making more fitness videos. I will be sharing in a later blog how I managed to lose all my baby weight, but trust me, these bitesized workouts definitely played a key part in all of that. Which one of the videos did you find the most fun or the most challenging?

It's week 3 of our summer fitness series!!! I hope all the excitement of the World Cup and Tennis has got you feeling all inspired and motivated to push beyond your limits with your fitness goals? It's one thing to be a spectator, but it is sooo much better when you are getting in on the action too!! So, this week, it's all about cardio. Now there are many ways to get your heart rate up and I wanted to jump in and mention that cardiovascular exercise isn't all about burning calories and losing weight. A good cardio workout is great for giving you that burst of energy and helping to set your mind right for the day. My buggy walks were a lifesaver in my early post-natal period, as I just needed to get out of the house and it really helped to settle my girls to sleep too! Keeping our muscles and joints strong is important at any age, but it really hit home when I overhead one of the ladies leaving my class saying "this is the best class I have been to all week. I feel like I can actually use all my joints!" I almost shed a tear, as this lady is in her eighties...yes I said EIGHTIES! So as you are reading this, I will tell you what I always say in my classes - doing a little bit of something, is better than doing nothing at all. xoxo This is week 2 of the summer fitness series and we will be focusing on legs and arms. Now I love me a good leg challenge. A few weeks ago,I joined in with a wall squat challenge with a group of other mums and little did I know that we would be holding that position for 12 MINUTES!!! Now what got me through it, was not just my physical strength, but more of my mindset. I decided in my head that I wasn't going to give up,even when the legs were shaking and the sweat was dripping,I was determined to make it to the end. Maybe this week you might be saying to yourself "I can't be bothered to____________________" you fill in the excuse (I mean blank), but I challenge you to dig deeper and make time to change yourself for the better. Today's video is NOT a holding squat (but you are more than welcomed to time yourself and see how long you can last), but it is another bitesized challenge for you to try which targets legs and arms. Let me know how you get on and don't forget to share with your friends. xoxo The Summer is officially here and I am loving it!! Since having my twins 9 months ago, it has been a challenge to find the time to film and edit videos for the channel. However, I am pleased to share that the videos are BACK and we are kicking of the summer fitness series by focusing on the abs and arms! Now these challenges are only 5 minutes, so the goal is to do a few rounds of the videos or to add it to your workouts that you are already doing. There is strength in numbers, so don't do these challenges on your own!! Share them (and SUBSCRIBE to the InspiredByVu You Tube channel) with your family and friends, so that they can be looking good in their summer outfits too (LOL). xoxo It's March and this month we are focusing on moving more! You may have heard it in the news this week that the number of people being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in the UK has almost doubled! Now I don't know about you, but that makes me uncomfortable, because one of the BIGGEST things we can do to prevent and manage diabetes (and alot of other health conditions), is to MOVE more and eat better. So I am in the business of getting people moving, I am challenging EVERYONE to move more in March! That's right, we are at the beginning of a new month, so it's a perfect time to commit to moving more dailly. So how does the challenge work? It's simple, for the next 31 days, you are going aim to get up and move more than you did the previous day. Whether it's walking, dancing, cycling or doing any of Inspired By Vu Fitness workouts, I want you to get that heart rate up! Hey, let's not be selfish about it either, as you need to challenge your friends and family too. Whatever you choose, I want you to have fun with it!! I am going to be posting different ideas via my instagram page, so do check it out throughout the month. I'd love to hear some of your favourite ways to get moving!! Let me know in the comments below. xoxo Happy New Year!! I hope you had a great time celebrating with your loved ones? Now that the fireworks have settled, party poppers have popped and all the new year festivities have come to an end, you have probably been asked several times over about resolutions. Dare I say it, but resolutions can often become yet another list hidden amongst several other to-do lists that we already have. But I have come to the conclusion that EXCUSES are even worse than making resolutions!! Just thinking about it, tell me 5 of your resolutions and you can probably come up with 50 excuses as to why you can't achieve them!! An excuse is just FEAR wrapped up in disguise. Maybe you have set yourself a weight loss goal, but because you may have failed at it before, you make an excuse and eventually talk yourself out of even trying. Well I am here to help you smash that mindset back into past. We can't change the past (so let it go and leave it there), but we can influence our future. Just surround yourself with the necessary tools that will help you to get to where you need to be!! Need a little help? Perhaps you have been thinking about making changes but don't know where to start, well simply fill in the enquiry form below in order to arrange a FREE consultation with me this month and I'd be more than happy to support you on your journey. xoxo Hello December! Listen, with all the Christmas treats that we will be partaking of over the next few weeks, you are going to thank me for this!! We start off Day 1 with the Skip N Kick challenge. So set your timer along with your Christmas play list and let's do this! Oh and share the love by forwarding on to your friends! Don't forget to make yourself accountable by putting your feedback in the comments section and letting me know what new challenges and videos you would like to see in the new year. XOXO Happy Thanksgiving to my American family and friends!! Whilst we may not celebrate thanksgiving in the UK, there is definitely one American tradition that has taken the world by storm....BLACK FRIDAY!! Yep, I am sure you haven't missed all the Black Friday promotions that have flashed up all over your phones, TV's etc. Whilst I love me a bargain or two, let's remember that we don't need to spend thousands of pounds to show love during the holidays and as much as they say "this offer won't last", just give it a few weeks and there will be another sale! (LOL). So on to this weeks fitness challenge! We are going to be doing a 21min Lunge Challenge!! The Lunge is a classic fitness move which works all those muscles in the lower body. There's no jumping in this weeks challenge (purely because I wanted to get through this challenge without waking up the babies!!), but you will be surprised about how much of a cardio workout you will be getting during these 21 minutes! N.B DEFINITELY STRETCHING WILL BE REQUIRED AFTERWARDS!! (Don't say I didn't warn you when you start feeling those sore muscles a few days later! LOL!!) xoxo Now that it is a little more darker and colder outside, it might be more tempting to press the snooze button a few more times than to get up to go the gym, or out for a morning walk/jog/run! But who says you have to go out to work up a sweat?! This weeks challenge is inspired by a few winter sports - just look at the moves, as i've got you skating and all sorts! Being a busy mum of four, time is NOT always on my side and with the best intentions, it can be difficult to do an hours workout. So, I keep reminding myself doing a little bit of something, is better than doing nothing at all. Plus, when you are doing a little something, make sure you are giving it 100% So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and get on with this weeks fitness challenge!! xoxo Happy Tuesday all!! It is so good to be back on the blog since giving birth to my gorgeous twins in September. Thank you all so much for your well wishes! Although I have my hands full with the babies, I have to say that I have missed sharing fitness challenges with you all! So I am officially back and ready to work out with you. This weeks challenge is a Halloween inspired workout. Click on the poster to the left to download your own copy of this weeks moves. Remember the goal is to repeat the challenge at least 5-6 days a week. As a new mum, I appreciate these express workouts now more than ever, so I make sure I pack in a whole load of cardio and toning moves into these 21min challenges and pleased to say that I STILL get results!!! So what are you waiting for? Put on your favourite Halloween tunes and get started with this weeks challenge! xoxo |
