Time for a new challenge

I always like to set a new fitness challenge at the beginning of the month in my classes and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the majority votes for working the bums and tums!  So  for the next 31 days I have chosen 2 isolation exercises to target the abs and the glutes. The goal is to perform 100 reps (yes 100!!) of each exercise daily.  

The poster on the left can be downloaded and the pictures demonstrate how to perform the leg lifts and crunches (both have standing modifications).

Will these exercises alone give me a Kim Kardashian butt?

Of course not, but what it will do is get you in the habit of isolating those core muscles and your butt so that you can begin to build strength and start toning.  The goal is to add these exercises to your existing activities. Shape and tone will change with adding weights, so why not add in some extra resistance. Remember, eating a healthy balanced diet and staying hydrated are going to help you with your results, so if you need a little help in this area, then click here.
