June juicing Challenge - Day 3

3/6/2015

It's day 3 and the end of the kick start element of the 30 day challenge.  Now a detox at any length of time gives the digestive system a break from all the processed/heavy foods.  But after 3 days, you certainly would have lost at least 6lbs - which is definitely an incentive to continue to respect your body by feeding it with foods that heal!!

Although the 3 day kickstart is over, you can now introduce a cooked meal in the evening, but maintain regular juices throughout the daytime.

Sugar Cravings!!!
One of the biggest challenges on any detox is curbing the sugar cravings! Not more fruits, but more of the manufactured kind found in cakes, cookies and chocolate bars!   Believe me, I too have been there and own several t-shirts!!   So you are not alone and it is a very natural response to crave the things that our bodies doesn't actually need.  The management of cravings is psychological and time.  Remember, a lot of our battles start in the mind, so feed it with a can do attitude and you can overcome anything!!!  Change doesn't happen over night, but each day in the challenge, you will find that your taste buds will begin to adjust.

But I REALLY need something sweet!!

Before I get the hater comments, today's juice is inspired by one of my friends who shares one of her sugar craving blends.

Sylv's Summer Fruit Fix

Ingredients

Strawberry
Raspberry
Blackcurrant
Apple
Ginger
Mint
Ice

This is certainly a sweet tooth fixer, as it really hits the spot and seemed to keep the sugar cravings at bay.

xx

P.S  Don't forget to share some of your craving busting recipes!!
