June Juicing Challenge - Day 18

Strawberries!

Don't you just love a juicy strawberry?!  Well these sweet little love hearts are rich in vitamin C, which help to ward off colds and infections.  They are considered the perfect beauty treatment, as the acids in strawberries (salicylic and ellagic acids) help to get rid of dead cells, tighten pores and combat skin damage!!

Strawberries also act as an anti-inflammatory, which is beneficial for those who experience joint problems or muscular flare-ups.  In addition, these antioxidant rich gems help to keep the blood free of toxins (which can cause chronic illnesses) and leave us with a happy, healthy heart!!

If you are looking for a sweet treat that doesn't leave you bouncing off the walls, go for strawberries!!  They are a great source of dietary fibre, which has a stabilizing effect on our blood sugar levels and help you feel fuller for longer.  So when we feel fuller for longer, our cravings minimise, thus making strawberries a great weight loss aid.

Speaking of weight loss, strawberries are rich in potassium which helps to regulate the fluid levels in our bodies.  So to beat the belly bloat, just add some strawberries into your day!

For our mums-to-be, strawberries are a natural source of folic acid, which is important for fetal development and maintaining healthy blood cells.

So today's juice recipe is called the Strawberry Stabilizer, which is perfect for giving you that energy boost, but keeping you sweetly satisfied (so it a craving buster blend!!).  I love having this blend when I have a full diary of clients to see and ZERO time to sit down and tuck into my lunch!!  


Strawberry Stabiliser

Ingredients

Strawberries
Orange
Lemon
Honey dew watermelon (or any melon you like!!)
Ginger (add more if you want a real kick!!)
Water
Ice

Blend, drink and enjoy
