It's the beginning of a new week and it's time to set yourself a new goal for the week. Perhaps it's to try to eat more vegetables, eating your last meal by 7pm or to get back on the juicing challenge!! You can always go back on the blog for Day 1 if you want to do a 3, 5 or 7 day kick start!!
So today's spotlight fruit is pineapple!!
Pineapples are a regular feature in my juice blends, as they are another great source vitamin C, which is key for our immune system. They are a rich source of bromelain, which is an enzyme which helps to break down proteins and helps with relieving the symptoms of hayfever (as it helps to dissolve excess mucus)!! So with the high pollen count for the next few months, adding more pineapple into your diet is definitely going to help with improving those sinuses!
Pineapples also act anti-inflammatory, as people with arthritis and muscle soreness have found relief from their symptoms.
I have seasons where hayfever really gets to me and sometimes those anti-histamine tablets just don’t work!! So after much experimentation, I put together my own concoction of vitamin C rich fruits that can help to relieve symptoms if taken regularly.
Hayfever Hijacker
Ingredients:
Pineapple
Orange
Mango
Lemon
Ginger
Water
Ice
Why not give it a try and let me know how it works out for you. Also, some of you reading this may be having dairy in your diet also. I would recommend, taking a break from those foods as they do promote a build up of mucus and can exacerbate symptoms of hayfever.

P.S I have included a picture some books I have been reading on juicing recently!! Check them out, as it's always good to have more inspired juicing ideas
