Did you know that this week is Health Eating Week in the workplace? Well, The British Nutrition Foundation are challenging UK workers and school children to focus on healthy eating , drinking and physical activity, in order to encourage healthier living.
Given that we spend most of our lives at work or school, I think its fantastic that there are campaigns such as these that will inspire us all to adopt healthier behaviours. Having worked in the health and fitness industry, I can assure you that we don't always get it right 100% of the time when it comes to food. So if you are one of those people that loves to bring in cream cakes and chocolates to work, then you might want to hold back this week!! (LOL).
This week there are 5 core challenges;
1. Have breakfast
2. Have 5 A DAY (go for more veggies than fruit)
3. Drink plenty (of water that is!!)
4. Get active (there is something for everyone, so no excuses!!)
5. Try something new (like one of the Total Body HIIT workouts or one of the vegan recipes on my channel)
These tips are applicable even if you are not at work, so why not make it a family challenge?!
