Mental Cheerleading!
A lot of the decisions we make today are as a result of our thoughts. You have to remember that not everyone is going to be as excited as you about being a vegan. I think Iearnt that VERY QUICKLY!! LOL I won't name and shame people, but I would often get the rolled eyes and or the look of "here she goes with her vegan stuff!" So begin to think positively about the new lifestyle changes that you are making. Tell yourself that you can do it rather than negative confessions like "I can't survive without my MEAT". I am currently training for a marathon and mental cheerleading is definitely helping me on my on my long runs. The proverbial saying is very true - "As a man thinks, so is he".
Do your research
There are a wealth of resources on the market to support vegans getting started. As soon as you mention the v-word, chances are, you will be bombarded with questions. Not that you have to prove yourself to anyone, but it really helps to do your own research as opposed to what listening to what "he, she or they" said. Here are a few of my recommendations;

The Kind Diet - By Alicia Silverston
The Eat Clean Diet - By Tosca Reno
