I had a fantastic Sunday afternoon with hundreds of fellow fitness enthusiasts at a fitness fundraising event. Organised by 3Ness and Rip fitness, there was an array of Fitness sessions to join in with - from Rastacise (yep I said it!) to Zumba!!
To some, the thought of participating in more than 8 fitness classes is a form of torture, but not when mixed with a touch of comedy and the opportunity to get the whole family involved! Remember shows like Desmond and The Real McCoy? Well I had the pleasure of meeting comedians Robbie Gee and Eddie Nestor. They will be climbing up Africa's highest mountain (Silimanjaro) in July to raise money for a number of charities including;
-Macmillian
-ACLT (promoting bone marrow and blood donation )
-Urban Synergy
-Rudolph Walker Foundation
So mountain climbing may not be your thing (it certainly is NOT mine!!), but there are so many opportunities to get fit and make a difference. From bike rides to marathons , aerobathons to the longest Candy dance train!!! What are you waiting for?
