Growing up, I used watching The Karate Kid movies! So here is a martial arts inspired move targeting those leg thigh muscles!
How to:
Bring your arms up as shown in the picture (or guard up). To 'guard up' means to protect the face and chest by keeping your chin down, fists up close to the chin and elbows clamped to the ribcage. Keep this stance throughout. For the kick, slowly lift up your knee (of your kicking leg) to hip height and then extend that leg out in front of you. Keep your supporting leg bent to help to spring you into the kick! Lower to the floor and change legs. Think about kicking the door down, so you really want to thrust that leg forward once you have got your knee up.
Now you: This move is definitely one for a song challenge! So put on your favourite track and I want you to give me any many alternating front kicks that you have!!
